Hi everyone! I’m so sorry it’s quite a lot that I’m not present here but life goes on and time too. Too many things to orginize, there should be 30h in a day!
Btw, today I want to focus on a topic that is really important for me:
• • L A N G U A G E S • •
I can see you being already bored. No no no guys, I’m sure not all of you like speaking a language but we should really understand how important it is. I won’t discuss it here, though. I’m just going to list the apps I frequently use and I can suggest you use. I gave each app a star, from 1 to 5.
I became completely obsessed with this app. I just love it! You can choose as many languages as you want, starting with an A1 level (zero) or with the level the initial text is going to give you if you have already studied the language.
First you must fix a daily goal, from 5 minutes to 20 more or less, in order to be sure of having a constant activity . The exercises include writing, listening and speaking part plus little exercises for the vocabulary. If you don’t train as you fixed: the nice owl of DUOLINGO is going to tell you how bad you are. I’m not joking. Go studying!!
This app is really useful if you don’t have time for studying using books or attending a specific course. I use it for Spanish, I really had no time for being constant with the self-study. Since I started using this app it is easier for me to be active in my learning, and in a funny way. You don’t need enough time, just that much a day!!
N.B. At the moment I don’t need a high level of Spanish, basics are enough. Of course, apps are useful for keeping your mind trained, a course would give you a complete view of everything.
This app allows you to talk to people from the countries you choose, speaking in the language you prefer, learning having a concrete feedback. Great!!
There is a thing that you have to keep in mind: some people use it as Tinder, you all know what kind of app it is. So, It will be not so unbelievable to find stupid boys.
I still use it but actually I didn’t get new words or something new to learn thanks someone, just had few talks with no benefits.
This app consists of a list of books that you can listen to, in the language you need. You won’t find best sellers but even a short story could be helpful. Have a look!
During the listening you can follow the written part and have the text in both language, so that you can check easily where you don’t understand.
♡ BBC NEWS
BBC is taking a part of my heart. Thank to this app I can listen to the news every morning. So that I get used of the accent more and more. Well, of course you have articles to read too. The perfect combo!!
♡ BBC LEARNING ENGLISH
I told you already, it’s a part of my heart. This app has only listening parts; you have short stories or dialogues that you can listen to limitless. Then you can check what you have understood with the text provided. That is amazing!!
Of course, if you don’t need listening exercises this app is not for you. For those of you that have an exam with listening: try it and follow BBC news too!! I’m preparing my CAE with them!! Trust a poor student of foreign languages.
Let’s move to German now. This is the app of Die Welle news; it has articles and videos. Actually I didn’t used it a lot but as far as I can see it to could be useful. I suggest you use more the website of DW, you find many exercises of any kind and for all levels.
No stars for this app for now. I give ☆☆☆☆☆ to the website
So, that’s all for today. Hope you enjoyed and found a help!! Let me know what you think, if you tried some of these apps and how much they helped you.
